CCR is currently involved in several research programs for the DOD and DOE. These include a 35 MW 200 MHz multiple beam klystron, 10 MW L-Band Annular Beam Klystron, and a 200 kW CW, 350 MHz multiple beam inductive output tube for accelerator applications. Defense related activities include development of a 50 kW CW W-Band, permanent magnet gyrotron for the Active Denial System and high current density cathodes and lithographic circuits for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) HiFIVE program. Software programs include an advanced, 3-D, beam trajectory code with computer optimization and an innovative circuit code for IOT and klystron design. CCR is also working on new computational programs to model high voltage breakdown on dielectric insulators and for modeling space charge in photoinjectors.
