Tom Robinson Tom Robinson is responsible for construction and assembly of high vacuum RF products, including electron guns, microwave, millimeter-wave, and submillimeter wave RF sources and components. Mr. Robinson also plays a key role in the mechanical design of all products to insure that configurations and processes are optimized for manufacturing simplicity and reduced cost. Mr. Robinson has more than 40 years of experience in the assembly of advanced RF products, including microwave tubes such as klystrons, traveling wave tubes, magnetron injection guns, gridded and bonded-grid electron guns, gyro-amplifier tubes and gyrotrons. He recently completed the assembly of a 500 kV magnetron injection gun for the University of Maryland's gyroklystron program, a 500 kV magnicon gun for the Naval Research Laboratory and a 10 MW, W-Band gyroklystron. Currently he is assembling an 8-beam multiple beam electron gun for a 50 MW klystron, a multiple beam gun test chamber, a 1.5 MW CW depressed collector for high power gyrotrons, and an advanced cathode test facitility.
